Genneperparken are part of a large landscape spaces that penetrates deep into the city of Eindhoven and have a large share of indoor and outdoor sports activities. For this part has Juurlink [+] Geluk made a masterplan in 2009 as translation of the Structural vision. The target for the preparation of the masterplan is the spatial integration of new sport-related activities in favor of other abandonned activities. We have developped a new strategic design development falling under the name: Sportlandgoed. The design is characterized by the revaluation of the old lane structures along with the qualitative ecological and recreational improvement of the banks of the Tongelreep that runs through the area. Through the concentration of parked cars in garages and the introduction of paths and bridges for slow traffic, is the recreational value of the park greatly improved. The introduction of the Sportshogeschool has added a new urban task for us (that we defined as follow: creation of a typical Genneperparken Buildings: a dark volume on a transparent plinth. This creates buildings with a pleasant atmosphere especially in the evening. Under the building are 200 parkingplaces which might also be used by the park visitors. Further is the building raised with stairs creating a pleasant space for stay) that is prepared by mean of a contest by Juurlink [+] Geluk and under our supervision further developed.
